Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions form an integral part of a written or verbal Contract between Debbony Pty Ltd Pocket Pet Transport and any client who contracts Pocket Pet Transport to transport any pet.

"owner" means any person, company or organisation who enters into or is a party to a contract with Pocket Pet Transport to transport an animal including the consignor and the consignee.

Employees of Pocket Pet Transport have the authority to enter into a contract on behalf of Pocket Pet Transport but have no authority to vary these terms & conditions.

"pet" or "pets" means any animal, multiple of animals provided to Pocket Pet Transport for the purpose of being transported.

All parties in the contract, including the owner, consignor, consignee and any other party who places the booking with Pocket Pet Transport shall be held to be the owner, and are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions and liable for any additional costs that may be incurred on their behalf during the transport including but not limited to veterinary fees.

Any person who contracts Pocket Pet Transport to conduct transport of a pet or delivers a pet to Pocket Pet Transport for the purpose of transporting the pet, if they are not the owner, has permission from the owner to arrange and deliver the pet to Pocket Pet Transport

Debbony Pty Ltd Trading as Pocket Pet Transport is not a common carrier

Liability-:

Whilst Pocket Pet Transport conduct itself, giving the utmost care and attention to the clients pet, we will transport pets with the understanding that Pocket Pet Transport will not be held responsible for any loss, illness, death, injury or accident due to any cause whatsoever.

Owners of animals must notify Pocket Pet Transport of any relevant details that may influence the safe transportation of the pet

Quotes-:

Quotes are provided by Pocket Pet Transport based solely on the information given by the owner. Pocket Pet Transport reserves the right to alter the quote on pick up in the event that the information that has been provided by the owner was incorrect or has changed.

Payments-:

A $100 non-refundable booking fee (included in the quote) is due at the time of booking, to be paid via credit card.

Preferred payment is via credit card or by direct Bank Transfer. Pocket Pet transport reserve the right to delay or cancel the scheduled pick up until such a time that payment has been made

Scheduled Times-:

Whilst Pocket Pet Transport will endeavour to keep as close as possible to our schedule, at times we will need to make changes to our schedule at short notice, due to weather, traffic, mechanical fault, or any other circumstance beyond our control.

Dangerous Animals-:

Pocket Pet Transport reserve the right not to transport animals, deemed as dangerous to staff and other animals. This will be at the discretion of our staff members.

Cancellations Policy-:

In the event Pocket Pet Transport cancels transport due to circumstances beyond our control, a full refund will be given.

Pocket Pet Transport reserve the right to charge 50% of the invoiced price of transport in the event that the booking is cancelled within 14 days of scheduled pick up.

Pocket Pet Transport reserve the right to charge 100% of the invoiced price of transport in the event that the booking is cancelled within 7 days of scheduled pick up.

Pocket Pet Transport reserve the right to charge a $100 cancellation fee in the event that a booking is cancelled within 28 days of scheduled pick up.

Veterinary Attention-:

It is the consignor’s responsibility to disclose any information regarding the health and wellbeing of the animal. Pet transport reserve the right to seek veterinary attention for any animal that is deemed unwell that is in our care. Whilst every effort will be made to contact the owner, if the owner cannot be contacted, we owe a Duty of Care to ensure the animal receives Veterinary care as quickly as possible.

Veterinary costs are the sole responsibility of the owner of the animal this may include but is not limited to consultation fees, medication, procedures, and boarding.

Vaccinations-:

At times through transit a pet may encounter other pets, either whilst in transit or whilst being exercised in a public area. Vaccination ensures the pet is protected from communicable illness and disease. Pets will not be transported without proof of vaccination.

Pocket Pet Transport will not be held liable for any illness or disease contracted by a non-vaccinated Pet

It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure the animal is vaccinated, as this will ensure that the animal is protected.

Sedation-:

Pocket Pet Transport Sedation policy requires animals must not travel with sedation. Whereby sedation is required the consignor and/or consignors’ vet must provide evidence of reason why the animal requires sedation, the type and the dose given prior to travel. Pocket Pet Transport will not be held liable for any complication arising from the need to sedate an animal

Extreme Weather Policy-:

Extreme weather can cause many issues for our Pet passengers. Whilst a water container is fitted inside the pet carrier, and the pet has access to fresh water for the duration of the trip, hot weather can dehydrate animals very quickly.

On extreme weather forecast days we will endeavour to travel throughout the cooler parts of the day throughout the summer, either early in the morning or through the night
Brachycephalic breeds will not be picked up for travel at the scheduled time if the daily temperature is expected to exceed 37 degrees. Arrangements will be made to alter the pickup and the schedule at no cost to the owner.

Privacy Policy-:

Pocket Pet Transport collects sensitive and non-sensitive data from consignor and consignee. This data includes name, address, phone number, and email address. This data is collected solely to enable Pocket Pet Transport to fulfill its obligation to transport of the pet.

This data may be disclosed to third parties, including but not limited to our staff, veterinarians, third party transporters and individuals with whom we would expect to share data with.

Pocket Pet Transport will not accept liability for any loss as a result of disclosure.

Photos/Videos-:

Pocket Pet Transport reserve the right to reproduce photographs of pets who have travelled with us for use in Updates, Advertising Campaigns, Websites & on our Facebook Page.
